Sherman Faber, beloved husband, sweetheart and best friend for 53 wonderful years of the late Harriet Faber nee Schultz; loving father of Patti (Alan) Caplan, Mark (Cynthia Marines) and Richard (the late Marci); cherished grandfather of Samuel (Sarah), Benjamin (Nanci) and Joseph Caplan, Holden, Greer, Gabriella, Hannah and Rebecca Faber and great-grandfather of Jack and Dani; devoted son of the late Howard and Geraldine Faber and son-in-law of the late William and Rose Schultz; dear brother of Lorraine Politis (the late Jim) and the late Norman (Phyllis) Faber; fond brother-in-law of the late Janet (the late Leo) Goldberg, Zelda (the late Leo) Katz and the late Alan (the late Jean) Schultz; special uncle of many. Mr. Faber was a proud World War II veteran, a founding member of Northwest Suburban Jewish Congregation, long time Scout leader, owner of Camping Unlimited, past president of Jefferson Park Lions Club. The family is grateful for the care provided by Ola, Bernice and Marquita from Sienna Home Care as well as the assistance from Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care Center. Chapel service will be held today (Sunday) at 12:00 Noon at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
